Abstract
In this paper, we have presented the design and simulation results of two conformal array structures for omnidirectional traffic surveillance. Rectangular patch antennas were used as array elements. Each antenna element has a maximum directivity of 8.7 dB. The array needs to cover 180 degree field of view horizontally which is required for traffic surveillance. The operating frequency of the radar is 77 GHz. Circular and hexagonal array are considered for possible solution. Comparison between the two patterns in term of directivity, side lobe level, and radiation pattern are considered.
