Abstract :
This paper presents 94 GHz band millimeter-wave RCS measurements of signal and land clutter where we focus on radar polarization and frequency characteristics. It is found that land clutter RCS is likely to be independent of depression angle and for asphalt pavement, its RCS for circular polarization is lower than that for linear polarization. It is also found that some differences exist between signal and land clutter RCS in terms of frequency characteristics, thereby resulting in possible discrimination between signal and land clutter
