Abstract :
A 45 GHz distributed amplifier for application in optical transmission systems was designed. The individual cell gain is based on a cascode configuration. The common gate transistor output impedance presents a negative real value which is going to compensate the drain line high frequency-losses. On wafer measurements have shown that its frequency response, group delay and input and output impedance matching have good agreement with simulated results.
