Abstract :
A new algorithm for nonlinear MSSSR (Mean-Shift Signal Scale Retinex) image enhancement is proposed. The idea first uses nonlinear enhancement on the grayscale image to global adjustment, then with the Mean-Shift filter estimates the illumination component, finally, enhances the image with MSSSR algorithm. Experimental results show that the method can able to effectively enhance the image and the elimination of halos, at the same time efficiency over operation of similar method.
