Moderate Bandwidth Filter for Multiplexer Applications

A new single mode dielectric resonator filter in metallic housing (patent pending) for Ku-Band Input Multiplexers (IMUXes) for space applications is presented. The filter structure is well suited for moderate bandwidth requirements (1%-5%) while keeping good unloaded quality factor and low level spurious response. A 10-pole quasi-elliptic response filter, designed to meet channel filter specifications, has been constructed and measured to verify the expected performances.
