Author :
Havranek, W.A. ; Goucem, A.
Abstract :
Design of automobiles is increasing in complexity and competitiveness. The wider use of electronics in more and more components of automobiles requires the use of the most advanced analytical methods to derive overall optimum vehicle design. The automotive industry, which has only recently used electronics in vehicles, has taken advantage of all the latest developments available in simulation and related tools. The authors describes how some of these new tools have been and are being employed by major European organisations in various applications, ranging from component design to complete vehicle testing
