Abstract
A pendulum rod of a nonlinear system is controlled by using sliding model control. To control the angle of the pendulum rod, a new design method of the sliding model control is proposed using proportional and integral compensation. Conventional and our proposed control methods are applied into the nonlinear system, those control methods are compared through simulation and experiment.
