Abstract :
A pervasive ECG monitoring system using non-contact electrodes for heart rate detection was described in this paper. The system is composed of the non-contact electrodes, an ECG data acquisition unit, an ECG signal processing unit and a PC-based analysis platform. The system is easy to operate, and it does not require any direct conductive contact between the electrodes and the subjectspsila skin, therefore provides maximal convenience and safety. Our design methodology is critical for home-based healthcare monitoring.
