Abstract :
In this paper, cantilever support system of foundation pit is analyzed by ANSYS which is the large scale general software of finite element analysis, the stress and displacement of foundation pit and support system are available from ANSYS. According to a foundation pit project in Handan, on the basis of the finite element analysis results, traditional method is adopted to design and calculate the foundation pit support. Compared the two results, the suitability of ANSYS in analyzing cantilever support of the foundation pit is testified. During the process of the calculation and analysis, the size, displacement, shear stress and moment of the pile are calculated by traditional method after excavation; the main factor affect the displacement of the pile are analyzed; the initial soil stress is simulated and introduced in the analysis; the birth and death element are adopted to simulate the excavation of the foundation pit; contact element is adopted to simulate the contact surface of the pile and soil.
