Abstract :
Software design can have a profound effect on system behaviour in respect of such issues as EMC. The author discusses phenomena experienced during automotive system development programmes to support this contention, and describes the ways in which problems generated by the phenomena were overcome. Conclusions are drawn regarding software design in relation to achieving overall system integrity with respect to electromagnetic compatibility
