Abstract :
In this paper we assess the progress of General Game Playing by comparing some state-of-the-art GGP players with an exemplary program dedicated to playing games in a smaller class called Simplified Boardgames. Conclusions on further possible development are made. The paper is also the first step in creating a standard test class for measuring performance of GGP players.
