Abstract :
On an electronic control common rail diesel engine, simulating and experimental studies were carried out at rating working condition and 80% output power working condition, by adjusting heat transfer conditions on fire deck to investigate the effects of thermal load on cylinder head. Results showed that, with the output power increasing, the thermal load acting on cylinder head became increasing. The simulation temperature values had good agreement with experimental temperature values distributions, and maximum temperature values was near the limit values, which can provide gist for further optimizing cooling water jacket of the engine.
