Abstract :
The results of the investigation of wave processes in circular waveguides with inhomogeneous dielectric filling are presented. Physical reasons for the high sensitivity of the propagation constants to the change in material parameters of the structure are considered. It is shown that in the off-limit frequency region the waveguides exhibit new properties. On the basis of these properties transducers for the measuring of electro-physical characteristics of different materials and fluid media can be developed
