Abstract
A new DC-DC converter PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) algorithm is presented in this paper. In contrast to the conventional voltage-error-based PWM PI (Proportional-Integral) controller, inductor current controller is implemented as the derivative action of PID control to stabilize the dynamic behavior of the system. Back-Propagation neural network (BPNN) is applied to optimize the Pseudo PID parameters. A boost converter is modeled and simulated, to which the novel PWM Pseudo PID controller algorithm are applied. Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm not only improves the accuracy but also provides a method to regulate the power of the power stage.
