Abstract
A full-bridge PWM power converter was investigated for conducted EMI, minor modifications to the mechanical and electrical construction were made and their effects on conducted EMI were measured. This includes snubber circuits, different self-capacitances of inductors, grounding of heat sinks and circuit parasitic inductances. The authors describe how the appropriate use of snubbers and due attention to parasitic elements can improve the conducted EMI of a power converter, obviating the need for costly and bulky EMI filters
