Abstract
Nanoparticles made of anionic Eudragit (L100, L100-55 and S100) were obtained by a novel pH-nanoprecipitation method. In order to stabilize the resulting nanosuspensions, different stabilizers were added, and their effect on the size, zeta potential, drug entrapment and nanoparticle recovery were evaluated. Even though nanoparticles without stabilizers are effective at increasing the peptidomimetic drug (using cefotaxime sodium as model) peroral absorption, the addition of stabilizers prevents coalescence of nanoparticles and lead to better incorporation efficiencies, as well as a final acceptable nanoparticle yield
