Taking a diseased bridge in Ethiopia as background, The paper analyzes and calculates the reinforcement of the bridge through sticking steel plates and carbon fiber sheets. The two methods present the general approach and method on reinforcement of the bridge. By comparing and analyzing the two methods, it gives the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods, which provides a reference and help to the reinforcement of other similar old bridges.
