Abstract :
In consideration of the particularity of edge detection, the perfect construction condition of biorthogonal wavelet is relaxed. Based on parameterized algebraical method, the non-prefect reconstruction biorthogonal wavelet is presented. The low pass decomposition filter of non-prefect reconstruction biorthogonal wavelet is even symmetry about zero location. So the edge position is more accuracy in multiscale image edge detection. And the high pass decomposition filter is odd symmetry about 1/2 location and the sign is monotonic. This property can ensure that the constructed wavelet has good competence in image edge detection. The wavelet modulus maximum algorithm is improved. A new algorithm of adaptive stratified threshold is presented. The simulation results show that the non-prefect reconstruction biorthogonal wavelet is effectual and accurate.
