Pondering and Practice of How to Build the Education Highland for the Civil Engineering Specialty in the Application-Oriented Universities

The construction of university education highland is an important part of "085" engineering which is a connotation construction of university education in Shanghai. According to the actual situations of the civil engineering specialty in our school, this thesis researches initially the construction of the highland for university education from the aspects such as the development status quo of this specialty, the construction philosophy, the main issues to be solved, the main measures and general goals. It deems that the goal of educating innovative talents in the application-oriented universities can be enhanced and achieved by taking educating the innovative talents as its core and taking improving the teaching quality as its key point, as well as by enhancing the construction of its course system, optimizing its subject structure and constructing/completing its teaching appraisal system.
