Abstract
This paper presents a method of improving the output current of a series-resonant AC link cycloconverter. The new topology consists of inverter and cycloconverter sections. The method proposed applies amplitude control and pulse density modulation for improvement of the output current. The theoretical analysis shown is based on a voltage source of 100 V and a resonant frequency of 40 kHz in this topology. With these simulation results, a method of improving output current by use of amplitude and PDM controls is also detailed in this paper
