The Two Approaches to Sustainable Development of the theory of Software Process Models

In the field of software engineering, theory of software process models plays a decisive role. In order to cope with new problems and to improve the efficiency and quality in the software development, the sustainable development of the theory of software process model should be guaranteed. Current software process models are analyzed and straightened so as to conduct research on approaches to sustainable development for the theory of software process models. The fact proves that two approaches can be adopted to propel the sustainable development of the theory of software process models. The first approach is “making innovations by absorbing or drawing on external knowledge”, while the second one is “making innovations by carrying on internal knowledge”. Finally the enlightenment from the research is revealed.
