Abstract
The experimental investigation of the orotron´s efficiency improvement in 140GHz-300GHz frequency range by introducing in its interaction space an additional electron beam over the upper row of a double-row periodic structure (DRPS) is carried out. The electrodynamic system is formed by an open resonator consisted of one plane mirror on which the (DRPS) is settled down and other focusing mirror having the shape of a multifocal spherical mirror. The longitudinal axis of the mirror is parallel to the axis of DRPS symmetry. The multi-focal mirror is formed by 4 crossed spherical surfaces with the general plane of symmetry along the device interaction space. It is shown that such possibility may be successfully realized.
