Abstract :
This paper presents real-time experiment of active noise control (ANC) algorithms for reducing nonstationary, intermittent snore. Three snore ANC algorithms have been developed and tested to evaluate their performance. The ANC system uses both finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) adaptive filters. Acoustic feedback was minimized by using both adaptive IIR filter and FIR filter with feedback neutralization. Real-time experiments were conducted using a digital signal processor development system and recorded snore samples. An average reduction of 15-20 dB can be achieved using multi-channel ANC systems.
