Abstract :
An on-chip DC-DC voltage down converter (VDC) is proposed. Employing a new reference voltage generator (RVG) and a differential-amplifier-based follower, the architecture of the proposed VDC is simple, and can be fabricated by conventional CMOS technology. For 5 V-to-3 V conversion, the output voltage (Vout) is stabilized within ±0.1% for ±10% variation of supply voltage, and within ±5.5 mV for load current varying from 0 to 100 mA. The temperature dependency of Vout is only 1.23 mV/°C
