Abstract :
A straight line or line segment is the most basic operation in embedded graphical systems. It is very difficult to draw a smooth straight line as the limited screen resolution. In this paper a new approach to line generation is proposed, which is based on DDA´s line generation algorithm. The approach is the so called pre-filtering of the original image, which averages the amount of pixels that is covered with the primitive equation. Experimental results of the high quality straight line with anti-aliasing show that the algorithms are successful.
