Abstract :
In this paper a new protection protocol for short transmission lines using wireless communication is introduced. When relays communicate with each other, they can exchange information which help the relay to take an accurate decision. The suggested protection system collects currents data from both ends of transmission line through intelligent electronic device (IED) and communicate with each other to share the data. The IEEE 802.11, wireless protocol, is used as a communication protocol.
