Abstract :
DDS (direct digital synthesis) techniques are an alternative to the traditional signal generation techniques. Because of its digital nature, DDS is suitable for implementing special architectures with great flexibility, few adjustment points and a high level of integration. Joining DDS features with the remaining advantages of a traditional phase locked loop (PLL), it is possible to obtain optimal synthesizer designs
