Abstract
There has been much demand to automate the visual inspection which is dependent on human observation in order to stabilize product quality in a manufacturing process. The authors have been developing inspection and assembly systems to improve the quality and efficiency of CPT (color picture tube) manufacturing. The authors have developed two new CPT inspection systems which adopt gray image processing and triangulation techniques. The method can inspect CPT with non-contact measurement and high accuracy
