Abstract
In this paper, with interfloor traffic condition, the optimal zoning elevator group control strategy is studied aiming at energy saving. First, the energy consumption data of an elevator is analyzed and the energy consumption model is constructed. Then, the optimal zoning strategy for energy saving is designed and solved by genetic algorithm. In this algorithm, the energy conservation and the variance of round trip time are considered simultaneously. In addition, a simulation platform is developed and, by which, a testing model with tri-elevator and thirteen-floor building is constructed and the effectiveness of the energy saving optimal zoning strategy is tested. The results demonstrate that, compared with the traditional average zoning method, the new strategy can reduce the energy consumption by 10.38% and the average waiting time by 41.55%.
