Abstract :
Landmine detection using multichannel radar poses many signal processing challenges, but the main issue lies with the variability of the propagation characteristics of the soil. These affect the spatial signature of the mine and require adaptive signal processing algorithms to optimise the performance. Investigation of various spatial deconvolution techniques has shown that blind deconvolution offers best image reconstruction compared with Wiener, Lucy and regular deconvolution. This paper describes the application of these processing techniques to multi-channel radar data.
