Abstract
In this paper, the design of a low profile circularly tapered antipodal Vivaldi antenna for array-based UWB nearfield imaging is presented. The antenna with the dimensions of 45times48.5 mm achieves satisfactory impedance matching and radiation performance across the frequency band from 2.7 to 26 GHz. The proposed antenna exhibits consistent UWB characteristics over a wide angle, which is crucial for near-field imaging applications.
