Abstract
The author describes formulations of switching transformation matrices (STMs) which express the discontinuities of the state variables at the switching instances in active switched networks. The formulations are derived by using the initial-value-theorem of the Laplace transformation. Charge and flux conservations are not used. It is clear that the discontinuities are related to the first component of special resolution, which is a matrix expansion of the resolvent matrix (sl -A )-1 in a singular system. The formulations can be used in a switched level simulator to obtain the operating states of controlled switches and comparators
