Abstract :
Today´s product manufacturing is developing toward to the automation and digitization. The assembly is an important link of product life cycle, and virtual assembly is an important component of virtual manufacturing, too. Using computer simulation and virtual Assembly planning, not only can make product designers anticipate design effects and do design verification, but also can design concurrently subsequent product assembly process. This article introduces virtual assembly methods under the Inventor platform, has mainly studies the unit assembly method, iMate intelligence assembly mechanism, overall assembly and the assembly process simulation, and applies these methods in some series high-voltage isolation switch equipment´s assembly, raises the serial products´ development efficiency. lt´s a great significance for further improving product quality, reducing product costs and shortening product development cycles.
