Abstract
Summary form only given. We could generate tunable THz radiation from 0.5 THz to 3 THz by the combined use of femtosecond pulse-shaping and photomixing methods. Tunability is obtained by merely adjusting the separation between the two selected spectral components. Unlike in conventional cw photomixing methods where bolometers should be used, our method makes it possible to easily use the electro-optic and photoconductive sampling detection schemes.
