Abstract :
In order to track and manage the computing resource usage and allocate resources scientifically, meteorological computing resource management system is developed based on meteorological computing Grid. We explore to establish an abstract meteorological model and a computing resources management database for describing the meteorological computing resources on an unified form. National meteorological computing resource management system involves 3 layers: remote meteorological grid nodes, obtaining of resource status information and WEB representation. UNICORE is employed to construct meteorological grid nodes. Postgresql database has been adopted on resource accounting and resource analysis. Making use of PERL programming language, we develop the resources statistics process. With the wide deployment of meteorological computing resource management system, the major high performance computer systems have been under integrated monitor. The key issues are resolved including heterogeneity system shield, fine accounting, user security, statistics and analysis, and so on. As a result, the utilization of meteorological high-performance computing resources is improved and local meteorological forecast operations or researches are conducted widely.
