Abstract :
A new method of applying total-field/scattered-field (TF/SF) technique is proposed to introduce an incident plane wave in two-dimensional multiresolution time-domain (2D-MRTD) scattering scheme based on Daubechies´ compactly supported wavelet. To verify the feasibility of this method, the scattering data of the near fields and radar cross section (RCS) of a two-dimensional conducting cylinder are presented. It is shown that the incident wave has been imported successfully to the total computational region and the results of the RCS obtained by the MRTD method agree well with the analytical Mie-series solution.
