Abstract :
This paper is firstly aimed at discussing how to utilize different types of remote sensing data and image enhancement, information extraction and multi-source data (TM, JERS-SAR, and geophysical, geochemical data) fusion processing to acquire information related to uranium mineralization. Then, how to interpret structures (including faults and folds) which controlled uranium deposit distribution, lithology and stratigraphy, and how to interpret ore controlling factors have been elaborated. Based on the analysis of metallogenic environment and condition, the metallogenic prognosis procedure has been established and finally, a favorable section has been predicted. The practice has indicated that application of remote sensing techniques to uranium reconnaissance, exploration and prognosis has potential prospects
