Title :
Some quantum optics perspectives on decoherence in quantum computers

Abstract :
Summary form only given. When the quantum nature of the optical field used to drive a qubit is taken into account, entanglement between the qubit and the field becomes a possible source of error which has been the subject of some attention lately. Although many other sources of noise will typically be much more important, this kind of error may actually have consequences for very large-scale quantum computations. A way to get around the entanglement problem is discussed.
