Abstract :
Based on the chief information source of Landsat TM.data, integrated color aerial photos and ground investigation data, remote sensing and GIS techniques are used for the task of soil erosion types and intensity classification in Shanxi province during May-July. As a result, reliable data and maps are provided timely for the National Water Conservancy Ministry and local water conservancy departments. The research reflects the advantages of integration of RS and GIS techniques, which is worth popularizing and applying
