Abstract :
When the high-voltage electric transmission line short-circuit fault occurs, the fault point voltage is minimum. If we can calculate the voltage value of each point on the fault line, the voltage of the extreme point is the fault point of the line. Parameters of the actual transmission line is a continuous distribution. To simplify the calculation, people often describe the transmission line by lumped parameter model. By ignoring the line distributed capacitance, fault location accuracy has been reduced. In this paper, we calculate the fault line points´ voltages using Bergeron method. Through the fault location function, we can find the minimum voltage point of the fault line, in order to achieve accurate fault location.
