Abstract :
This paper presents a new ABR flow control scheme using explicit rate information in backward RM cells. Recording to this scheme, a network can dynamically allocate bandwidth resource by using the global information called the loadlevel of the network. It´s much faster for all the ABR sources in the network to reach their optimal rates. The available bit rates the ABR sources obtain go up from their minimal fairshares to their maximal fairshares monotonously. In this sense the scheme is oscillation avoid
