            Abstract : 
The peak SAR (specific absorption rate) value of a two-element array antenna used for mobile handsets is evaluated numerically by changing the phase difference of the array elements and the distance between the array antenna and the user´s head. It is found that when part of a human head is present in the reactive near-field region of the array antenna, the co-phase feed SAR is slightly smaller than the reverse-phase feed SAR, but when the head is completely outside the reactive near-field region, the co-phase feed SAR is larger the reverse-phase feed SAR
