Abstract :
The optimal radar parameters (frequency, polarization, incidence angle and look direction) for nonlinear internal wave observation by synthetic aperture radar (SAR) have been studied based on a simulation model developed from the radar imaging mechanism of nonlinear internal waves. The model consists of the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, the action balance equation and the radar backscattering model. Some reasonable results has been achieved
