Abstract :
Business English teaching is a branch of English teaching for Specific Purposes. In this paper, based on the characteristics of ESP, meta-cognitive strategies will be integrated into the business English teaching, which is a new model of business English teaching. The model centers on students and help students to develop their capabilities in planning, monitoring and assessing their own learning so as to enhance their sense of responsibility for their learning. Through the training of meta-cognitive strategies and related experiment, this paper proves the positive correlation between the model and business English learning. Meanwhile it provides an effective business English teaching model.
