Abstract :
A leading lecturer of Department of Radio Technology and Telecommunication of Sevastopol National Technical University, a renowned scientist in electrodynamics and radio-wave propagation, Viktor Vasilyevich Salamatin was born on August the 12th, 1936 in the Tambov region (Russia). 1943–1953 studied at secondary school, after school certificate he entered Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute (graduated in 1958). He was directed to Experimental Design Bureau of the plant of electric-measuring instruments in Krasnodar. In 1958 — an engineer, 1959 — a senior engineer, 1966 — a chief engineer. 1966–1970 took an extramural postgraduate course at Kiev Polytechnic Institute (at present NTUU «KPI»). In 1970 he defended candidate dissertation, in 1971 on a competitive base was chosen as an assistant professor of Department of Theoretical basis of radio technology of Sevastopol Institute of Instrument Design, where he has been working up to the present day.
