Abstract
Generation of electricity using wind power has received considerable attention worldwide in recent years but the short circuit current contribution of wind turbines has not received much attention so far. This paper considers the short circuit behaviour of induction generators in a wind farm considering wind speed changes and its influence on the wind farm and the power system. We consider changes in wind speed in a positive and negative ramp manner. A Matlab-Simulik simulation is used for conducting this study.
