Abstract
In this paper, a new method for identification of dominant source of harmonic generation in PCC bus is presented. In the proposed method, using superposition along with the concept of critical impedance method, new indices are defined and a novel algorithm is presented. In this algorithm, unlike the critical impedance method, there is no need to exact value of customer side harmonic impedances. Also, it is unlikely that the proposed algorithm leads to incorrect identification of the dominant source, even when the contribution of both sides is close to each other. The analysis is verified by running simulations on the modified IEEE 13-bus industrial distribution system.
