Research on Measuring Method of Farmers´ Bearing Capacity to Agricultural Water Price

The farmers´ bearing capacity to agricultural water price determines the capacity and process of Water Price Reform, then how to correctly estimate it is an important prerequisite for a reasonable cost-sharing mechanism of agricultural water fee. based on the research status at home and abroad, this paper first described a method to survey farmers´ water using based on participatory rural appraisal (PRA), and then, separately studied the calculation method of farmers´ economic affordability and mental endurance of water price. The research shows that the economic affordability and mental endurance are two essential aspects. Different choices of indicators will determine different economic affordability of the farmers, while mental endurance will be estimated according to actual situation in order to analysis on the influencing factors.
