Abstract :
Object To use an auto-reference, auto-correlative and adaptive interference cancellation theories and techniques (AAA-ICT) to extract the human somatosensory evoked potential(SEP). Methods: The electrical stimulation signals were used to stimulate the body surface of human wrist median nerve. The stimulus signals are single-pulse square wave signals. We use the surface electrode on scalp to extract the SEP. The extracted signals are processed by the AAA-ICT. Results: The single trial SEPs and their averaging SEPs were obtained. Conclusions: The SEP extracted by AAA-ICT avoids the defect of the traditional averaging theories, could be able to get the variance feature, so can be provide new signs for diagnosing and differentially diagnosing certain neurological or psychological disorders.
