Abstract :
This paper investigates the problem of load estimation using limited measurements in unbalanced, radial power distribution networks. The problem is formulated as a weighted l1 estimation problem with equality and inequality constraints. A solution algorithm which utilizes a backward forward sweep method is developed. Preliminary tests on a 20-bus unbalanced, radial distribution network are presented
